Shoe Loving Summer

Writer's picture: Valeria MichelleValeria Michelle

I live by a few different rules with my fashion and one of those is: a girl can never have too many shoes. Even if you wear the exact same clothes, changing your shoes will change everything. Heels feel like home for me, however living in Florida I definitely don't get the opportunity to wear them as much as I wish I could. Currently, in my waiting game of moving to another country, I am living out of just two suitcases and it has been a struggle to get creative with fashion - I mean, it has been 4 months living out of them. That being said, I wanted to share with you all a few different go to shoes for me this summer.

🟣 Flat sandals

Of course, its summer and we need to the perfect go to pair to quickly wear out. A faux leather flat pair is an easy way to find an inexpensive pair but yet cute enough to wear on a daily basis. I am currently a fan of Nasty Gal for making it so easy to pick out of a few different colors - plain, with studs or even some sparkle. I found my last pair for $18!

🟣 Platforms

If you are out all day and still want height in a comfortable way, this is it! Platforms are an easy go to for easy wear all day. Nowadays you have a few options in terms of how to wear a platform - you can do close toed, sandals or traditional wedge. I do love a good sandal with platform and to be frank, I just got my first pair of sneakers with platform... kind of loving it. Mia shoes are a fantastic way to try this trend out, they are so comfortable and not pricey at all! (I am a big fan of the "Jordi" in Mia shoes, click the pics below to see!

🟣 Sneakers

Like I mentioned, I am currently living out of two suitcases and no matter if I travel or stay home, I do love a good sneaker I can wear around. Sneakers are something that I do spend a bit extra because they are one of my top uses therefore I rather have a very nice pair that will last me longer since I run through them (no pun intended).

What ever your style is, shoes are always a good idea. From dressing up or dressing down, you can find the perfect pair. I do like to mix in some pricier items within my collection if its something that I know I get a lot of use out because their materials will make them last a lot longer. If you are looking for more trendier shoes, I do typically go for something more economical as specific trends change quickly and you may want to switch it out more often.
